What Makes Vega Star Special ? Earth's North Star In The Future.

Vega Lyra is the brightest star in the Constellation Lyra. It has the title of the alpha Lyra in the Constellation Lyra. It exists 25 light years away from us. Vega has always been a topic of discussion in astronomers. Today we will discuss it. If we talk about its name then it comes from, Arabic word. In Arabic, it is called “ waqi” it means falling.

Vega is presently the Fifth brightest star in the night. Vega is associated with the name Abhijit in Hindu culture.it is the brightest star in the north celestial hemisphere. You can easily see the Lyra constellation in the night sky. Today Polaris is our North Star it does not change its position when its sees the earth. This is because the earth rotation axis is completely tilted towards the Polaris.

At the moment Polaris is our northern star, the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor. But in 3000 B.C. The earth’s North Star was Vega and after 13000 years Vega will become our North Star again.

There are several reasons why astronomers are so interested in this star. One is that Vega is only 450 million years old. It was the first photograph by William Bond and John Adams at Harvard College observatory.

In fact Vega was the first Star to be photographed and its colour spectrum recorded. Vega is a blue and white star. The radius of the Vega star is 1.6432 million kilometres. Its mass is twice that of our sun. The strangest thing about a star is that it rotates very fast on its axis. It is moving at the speed of about 274 kilometres per second.

This speed is so high that if the speed of its rotation becomes a little faster than this the star will start to break and scatter.  Vega is a young star right now. It is only 450 million years old now and has lived half its life. Its age is not even half that of our Sun.

The sun about 10 times older than Vega. The reason for the star to live show short is that the nuclear fusion process inside it is very fast. In fact, the energy inside its Core causes nuclear fusion of carbon-Nitrogen-Oxygen cycle.

So that's why Vega is a blue. But the nuclear process inside its core is much faster than that of the Sun. Vegas core temperature reaches 17 million Kelvin. Its luminosity is 40 times greater than that of the Sun. Luminosity means brightness. Vega Apparent magnitude is only 0.003.

If you don't know the Apparent magnitude then this method is a way to measure the brightness of a star the lower the Apparent magnitude of the star, the higher the brightness of the star.

Astronomical research shows that a guy is surrounded by a large amount of dust in the form of disc. Just as alive, our solar system is surrounded by the Kuiper belt. Scientist things that there may be a planet orbiting it.

They believe that there may be a gas giants like Jupiter. They think it's very likely. Scientist has found a very strong evidence of this. Vega is still a young star and scientists are studying it in more depth. Hopefully we will learn more interesting in this in the future. Vegas life span is only 500 million years.

After which it will turn into a red supergiant star. And then later it will remain just the white dwarf star with the Rapid rotation, it has slightly protruded out of its equators. We will discuss this in more detail in the future.
